Political Party Primary Election

The August 8, 2023 primary election is for Mississippi voters to choose among Democrat or Republican Party candidates to determine who will be each party’s nominee for the General Election on November 7, 2023. Registered voters can vote in either the Democrat or the Republican Primary (but not both). If a primary runoff election is needed due to no candidate securing greater than 50% of the votes, this will be held on August 29, 2023.
